Fleet Week activities at Treasure Island

I guess we had some bad intel on what we were doing this day. It seems we have nothing planned. Sorry!

Sunday October 5th will go to observe Fleet Week activities at Treasure Island . We'll meet at 8:30 AM and ride at 9:00 AM to Dudley Perkins H-D for coffee and a pack ride to the center of the bay to watch the Blue Angels.

Oakland HOG's  [ TARGET RUN ]

Saturday, October 11, will be Oakland HOG's target run. This is a BAD event. Paul P. will lead this ride. Meet at PHD at 8:00 AM and ride at 8:30 AM.

Bay Area Directors Multi Chapter Ride

This years multi-chapter ride put on annually by the Bay Area Directors group will be on October 18 & 19. We will be discussing this at our general meeting on Wednesday, September 17th, to find out who would be interested in participating. This years ride will be to Heavenly Valley at South Lake Tahoe.

This will be an overnight ride. Keri from Santa Cruz HOG is coordinating this and has given us some options for accommodations. If we have enough interest we could actually have a San Mateo HOG cabin. The prices are as follows:

Here is the pricing that would apply to the BAD group in October on the 18th overnighter. This is a special rate for the group, pricing would vary for any future reservations. Regarding guest rooms: 13 rooms with a total of 29 guests (this is with every bed taken and shared) *nightly rate will be $89.00 ( this doesn't include tax) rooms include Cont. breakfast /happy hour.

  • Regarding cabins: 5 houses with a total of 47 guests need to shop for own food.
  • House 1 (Pyramid): nightly rate $595.00 sleeps 16, cleaning fee $250.00
  • House 2 (Tallac): nightly rate $495.00 sleeps 14, cleaning fee $165.00
  • House 3 (Evergreen): nightly rate $350.00 sleeps 9, cleaning fee $165.00
  • House 4 (Tamarack): nightly rate $395.00 sleeps 8, cleaning fee $165.00
  • House 5 (Serra) nightly rate $350.00 sleeps 10, cleaning fee $165.00
  • Note: 2 credit cards used per scheduling a house Book by the end of August to accommodate the INN and the special rate.

With all of these properties booked we will have room for 76 guests.

Fremont HOG's Annual Halloween Run 

This event is great fun with lots of riders showing up in costumes. Tom B. will lead this ride. Meet at PHD at 8:00 AM and ride at 8:30 AM. 
After the run and festivities at Faultline H-D in Fremont we will be returning to Peninsula Harley-Davidson to support our sponsor's planned open house.

Sunday, October 26, will be Dudley Perkins annual Great Pumpkin Run to Occidental. This is a great ride with some fall foliage to look at along the way. Gordon will lead this out. Meet at PHD at 8:30 AM and leave at 9:00 AM

Event Statement for Chapter Web Sites

  • Chapter activities are conducted primarily for the benefit of H.O.G. chapter members. There are three categories of activities, all activities are identified as follows:
  • Closed events are those chapter events which are open to chapter members and one guest per member.
  • Member events are events that are open only to H.O.G. members
  • Open events are those chapter events which are open to chapter members, national H.O.G. members and other guests as desired.
